E.L.F. Sale & Explore Treasure Hunt

E.L.F. offers a few good items for spectacular prices every once in a while, and I wanted to share one of their special sales right now which is an extension of their Columbus Day sale promotion. E.L.F. has a few items on their site listed at 60% off and you can receive 50% off your entire order on top of any of those items and anything else you may be interested in (up to $7.50 off). I have searched through the site and found the some of those treasure hunt items. I will list them below and do slight reviews on (some of which I already own and some of which I placed an order because of the fantastic deal). All images are from eyeslipsface.com and do not belong to me.

MY ONLY SLIGHT PROBLEM WITH ELF: The pictures on their website do not reflect the actual product well. I have suffered that problem with most of the product I purchase online. They're still awesome though! But if that's something that really bothers you, I would try to go find the actual products in store to see first.

Studio Blush (Select Colors)

The colors on sale are Blushing Rose and Berry Merry which I do not own. I currently do have Candid Coral and Tickled Pink.  Candid Coral is a coppery blush with some shimmer in it and Tickled Pink is beautiful muted pink with shimmer also. I love these blushes, because of their soft texture. They are not too pigmented, which prevents applying them too heavily. I think they are perfect, which is why I definitely recommend getting the ones on sale at $0.60 (+ shipping of course).

Studio Lip Stain
The colors on sale are Heartbreaker, First Date, Fashionista, and Mysterious. I currently own First Date and Birthday Suit. These are good lip products that may not be the best. Most other lip stains I have tried has horrible scents that I cannot bear, but these don't They are really pigmented and has a good 2 hour of staying power. Birthday suit is a true bubblegum pink, while First Date comes out as a neon pink-coral contrary to what the website shows (the color is like the MAC Scorched nail polish with a little more pink tone in it). Again, fantastic buys at the price of $0.60/lip stain (+ shipping) which does include an end with a clear gloss.

Essential Makeup Brightening Eye Color
The quads on sale include Nouveau Neutrals, Luxe, and Ivy. I have not tried any of these eye shadows, but have heard some good things about them. You are getting them for $0.20 (+shipping), so why not try them?

Apparently items are supposed to shift for this promotion, because earlier some of the minty lip glosses and shimmering facial whip were on sale too, but I don't see them anymore. This sale + promotion ends midnight PST October 13, 2010.

POP Beauty Review

I tried out two new products recently from POP Beauty: Bronze Belle 8 Colour Bronze Kit and the Eye Class Kit in "Brown Eyes." Prices vary from the following sites

                                                        Bronze Belle      Eye Class Kit
Haute Look (not always available)          $8.40              $9.60
Beauty Ticket                                         $11.99           $12.99
Retail                                                     $28.00            $32.00

If you want to purchase from Beauty Ticket, you receive 10% off if you're a first time customer.

Bronze Belle  $8.40 - $28.00

This is an awesome palette for those looking for good deals. There is combination of shimmer and matte colors. If you're on the go, pick one or two colors for your eyes, and then choose a blush and bronzer from this kit. The champagne color provides as a beautiful highlight on the cheeks, tear duct, and brow bone. This product may not be for pros, but it is a great everyday product for its value.

Eye Class Kit in "Brown Eyes"  $9.60 - $32.00

I want to call this a poor-man's alternative to the Urban Decay's Naked Palette. Although the shades are different, the idea is the same. These are good quality eye shadows. They are extremely soft and has medium pigmentation compared to some of the products out there. This gives you options to create beautiful neutral eyes, but also has the capability to create a nice smoky look. The packaging may appear to be a bit amateur, but it's convenient, and very nice to throw in the purse. The whole package feels cheap, but the shadows are phenomenal for the price. The little clutch also has a mirror which is a big plus too.

Inglot Palette!!!

Inglot 10 square eyeshadow palette $50.00

I love this palette. The price is great compared to getting a MAC palette, don't you agree? It may seem like a huge investment, but when it comes down to it, it's $5/eyeshadow. The majority of the shades are super super pigmented, but there are a few that I chose that were quite sheer without a few layers. The matte black in the palette is definitely comparable to MAC Carbon (color, pigment, everything). If I could, I would have had one of each of their colors. For those who aren't familiar with Inglot, EnKore did a tour of the store here:

I chose colors I would wear often, and then a few blues that I don't see everyday. I am not fortunate enough to be able to sample a lot of their products, but I give Inglots 2 thumbs up based on this palette. It is unfortunate that they do not advertise that much and lack stores in the US. A lady walked into the store while I was choosing my colors, and asked if the store was a Sephora and when told not, asked where it was. She obviously did not take a second to look at the amazing products in the store. I was blown away, and for anyone who has an opportunity, please visit them. They are right next to the M&M store and across the street from the Hershey store just for references.

In The Groove Cremesheen Lipstick Jazzed

Jazzed is a beautiful lipstick. It is a perfect coral orange color. My first lipstick of this color family, I love it so far. It give off a lot of color because it's a cremesheen, and I think it is perfect for the summer. No complaints!

In The Groove Duo Blush: Happy Together & New Vibe

Most people agree that MAC must have improved their formula for these blush duos, because they are definitely mush easier to work with in my opinion. There is just something about it that I like a little more than some of the other products they have released before. I picked out only two that were to my liking, Happy Together and New Vibe. There are swatches of each individual color, and them mixed together 50/50.

Happy Together $23.00

Happy Together is a toned down natural looking flush of color. Though not quite a bright blush for me, I like the two tones in this duo. They create a very soft glow on the cheeks with the combination of the darker earthy red brown and the reddish pink light color. I also love this product as a travel item, because it would provide a nice everyday cheek color and also, when applied wet, can be used to create a very pretty neutral look. I will try my best to put up a tutorial using this product demonstrating the ways I would use it to create one look. I rate Happy Together a 4/5.

New Vibe $23.00

Temptalia gave this product an okay review saying it is a very muted raspberry color and there wasn't very much of a payoff, and I did not expect to pick this up because of her review, but when I came face to face with this product I had to get it. This one features a deep raspberry color and a bright shimmery gold, and when blended creates a gorgeous blush. I thought maybe I was just having a bad judgment day, so I asked one of the girls there to give me their opinion on their favorite blush and they chose New Vibe. This girl's opinion did it, and I purchased the blush. It has plenty of color payoff, and honestly, I prefer it over the Band of Roses, which although is a pretty color, is a bit too loud for me. Band of Roses require a bit more maintenance then I would like unlike New Vibe. I rate New Vibe a 4/5.
